Grading is the process of shaping and levelling ground to the correct elevation and slope. Rough grading sets the base contours of a site, while final (finish) grading fine-tunes the surface for drainage, driveways, patios, lawns, and landscaping. Done right, grading directs water away from your home and gives every surface a stable, level base.

You need grading before building or paving, when preparing a driveway or patio base, when installing a new lawn or landscape, or when water is pooling and needs to be redirected. Poor grading is one of the most common causes of drainage and settling problems around Lower Mainland properties.
